Inclusive Philanthropy: Leadership in Philanthropic Organisations
Thur 26 Sept, 4pm – 6pm
Mon 2nd Sept, 6pm – 9pm
Join Tahirih Danesh and Carilyn Quigley as we explore and discuss leadership in philanthropic organisations.
“The European Union’s Directive on Gender Balance in Corporate Boards, formally adopted in November 2022, requires listed companies across the European Union (EU) to have either 40% of non-executive directors (NED) or 33% of all board directors (NED plus Executive Directors (ED)), from the underrepresented gender by June 2026.”
With two years to go before the Directive comes into force, European Women on Boards, in collaboration with Diligent (A data company), has issued a report on the progress and, in some cases, the lack of progress in the quest to reach inclusive representation of gender, nationality and age on boards across Europe.
This report analyses all sectors in Europe. Alastair and Carilyn will lead a participative discussion by applying this analysis to the philanthropic sector, providing insight from their experience as headhunters and talent specialists in Europe. They will explore the challenges organisations face in becoming inclusive of all diversity and invite the audience to participate in highlighting solutions to more inclusive leadership teams within the philanthropic sector.
