Nimco Ali OBE

 Co-Founder of The Five Foundation

Impact Fellow

I am a conduit for making a world free of FGM a reality by 2030.

I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT

I am passionate about ending FGM by economically empowering women. Powering and funding the African grassroots movement to END FGM will allow women to shape their lives and communities.

YOU CAN HELP ME BY

You can help by joining us at The Five Foundation so we can deconstruct the traditional ‘aid architecture’. With a decade to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, along with an urgent need to recover from COVID-19, we need to trust and empower women’s rights organisations and strengthen movements to deliver the structural changes needed to shift the dial on ending FGM and other forms of violence. We need to support the economic empowerment of survivors of FGM, so they can end it where they are, and lift themselves, their families and their societies out of poverty and into prosperity.
