Executive Chairman of The Conduit board, Robert was one of the founding partners of The Virgin Group and served as Chair of the entertainment division throughout the 80’s and early 90’s. He subsequently Chaired Soho House, Frieze Events, The New Forest Company, Save The Rhino International and The Portobello Trust. He has been a board member of numerous organisations in the fields of art and education including CENTEC, NKCT, The South Bank Centre, The Tate’s African Acquisition Committee, Westside School and Holland Park School. He is currently a trustee of Workplace Foundation, The ICA and The Cambridge Conservation Initiative and in 2011 he founded the African Arts Trust.



Alkesh Tandon is the Founder and Executive Director of DoIT Smart Hospitality that has been conceptualised with the objective of redefining the hospitality industry globally by creating ‘new-age’ concepts starting with The A. The A is India’s first private members’ club designed to foster collaboration amongst today’s dynamic leaders and influencers through its vibrant social spaces. Alkesh has over 12 years of experience in real estate, interior design and hospitality across leading gateway cities including London, Dubai and Mumbai. Alkesh has joined the board of The Conduit HoldCo as the Founding Investor and also represents DoIT on the board of The Conduit as a Non-Executive Director.



Eko is a Non-Executive Director and Investor Representative on the board of The Conduit. She is a partner at Generation Investment Management, and a trustee of Generation Foundation. Generation Investment, established in 2004, is a global pioneer and leader for sustainability investing. Eko started her investment career at Morgan Stanley in equity research based out of Hong Kong, and subsequently with Capital Group, a leading US investment management firm.



Erem is a Non-Executive Director on the board of The Conduit. A global Managing Director with over 20 years’ international experience in hands-on business growth, private equity and corporate strategy, she is currently Global Head of Client & Object Intelligence at Christie’s and was previously Global Managing Director of Impressionist & Modern Art. Erem’s expertise in raising funds, global connections and passion for equal opportunities, immigration and inspiring youth culture makes her an invaluable asset to our board.



Lola is a Non-Executive Director on The Conduit board. Lola had roles as professor of Cultural Studies at Middlesex University and Head of Culture at the Greater London Authority before being appointed an independent Crossbench member of the House of Lords in 2004. She founded and Co-Chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Ethics and Sustainability in Fashion, and on Sport, Modern Slavery and Human Rights, and has previously served on several Select Committees, most recently on Sexual Violence in Conflict. Lola is currently working on legislation to eliminate modern forms of slavery in supply chains. She has sat on the Boards of several national cultural organisations including the Royal National Theatre and the Southbank Theatre.



Co-founder of the award-winning Zetter Group of hotels, restaurants and cocktail lounges, Mark Sainsbury has spent 25 years working in hospitality; setting up Moro restaurant, Bistro Bruno Loubet and Grain Store amongst other restaurants, bars and hotels. Mark co-founded the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA), a not-for-profit membership organisation advising and accrediting food businesses towards greater sustainability. He is Trustee for the Ashden Awards for sustainable energy, the Climate Change Collaboration and both the Linbury and Mark Leonard Charitable Trusts. Mark is a valued member of The Conduit board as a non-Executive Director, Investor Representative and Industry Expert.



Martin is a London-based Swedish investment professional. As a Director of Jamma International, a UK registered family charity primarily involved with philanthropic and investment impact activities throughout sub-Saharan Africa and Europe, he holds an Investor Representative and Non-Executive Director role on The Conduit board. Martin began his career at Golub Capital in New York, and most recently worked within mergers & acquisitions at Lazard before moving to AGC Equity Partners where he served as a Vice President within the private equity investment team. He currently co-manages investments at Greenpoint Capital. Martin has a master’s degree from the Stockholm School of Economics.



Co-Founder of The Conduit, Chair of Finance Committee and fundraising, Nick is a managing partner of Laurasia Capital Management, a Singapore-based investment firm focused on investments in real estate, infrastructure and special situations which have a social impact. Previously, Nick was the Asia Pacific CEO of Standard Bank Group, having held the same position at UniCredit Bank, and was a founding partner of CapAsia, the largest infrastructure fund in SE Asia. After 25 years in investment banking and asset management, he began to focus on for-profit investments with positive social outcomes, such as the Latitude Hotels group in east sub Saharan Africa.



Co-Founder of The Conduit and Chief Creative Officer, Paul is a winner of the prestigious Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He served as the Executive Secretary of South Africa’s post-apartheid Truth and Reconciliation Commission and co-founded the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ), an international human rights organisation based in New York City. Paul is also co-founder of Maiyet, a modern, ethical luxury fashion brand that celebrates and cultivates traditional design and culture by partnering with global artisans.



Rahul is an Investor Representative and Non-Executive Director for The Conduit board. He is the third-generation scion of one of India’s leading industrial houses, Hero Group, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world. Rahul’s avant-garde entrepreneurial spirit combined with his passion for environment led him to establish Hero Future Energies (HFE), a wind and solar energy integrated power producer (IPP) and one of the biggest success stories in renewable energy in India. Rahul is an active trustee on the Raman Kant Munjal Foundation, which supports causes such as women empowerment, education and rural upliftment. He is a founder circle member at The British Asian Trust.



Co-Founder of The Conduit, Rowan oversees the building and business development. As founder of Regenerative Investment, a US-based sustainability-focused impact fund, Rowan was an early adopter of impact investing. His focus in both investment and philanthropy includes purpose driven companies and cradle to cradle initiatives spanning sustainable energy, infrastructure and food systems, alongside gender-lens investment, the arts, and community building. Rowan led the development of a family office, working on multi-generational family businesses, philanthropy, and investment practices. Rowan received Le Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and studied Economics and Sustainable Development at Columbia University in NYC.
